Ex-WWE star Jesse Ventura shoots down rumors about running for president – New York Post

Former WWE star Jesse Ventura early Thursday slammed rumors that he has filed paperwork to run for president.

“Earn your paycheck. Verify something. Anything. Let’s start with: No, I haven’t filed to run for office,” the 68-year-old strongman railed against journalists suggesting otherwise.

Ventura’s tirade followed a late-night Twitter rant that stretched into the wee hours about the election and his plans to support the Green party.

Jesse Ventura (born James George Janos; July 15, 1951) is an American politician, media personality, actor, author, and retired professional wrestler who served as the Mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota from 1991 to 1995 and as the 38th Governor of Minnesota from 1999 to 2003. He was the first and only candidate of the Reform Party to win a major government position.
